RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances.
According to the RoHS Guide, this directive originated in the European Union
and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products.
At the same time, REACH controls all chemicals that might be used to manufacture the product:
If your company is established outside the European Union, you’re not bound by REACH, even if you export goods into the EU.
The responsibility for fulfilling the requirements of REACH lies with EU importers,
or with “the only representative of a non-EU manufacturer established in the EU.”
